Subject: Australia's not all bad...
Since returning to Australia after five weeks in Japan I just can't get my head around how many things suck here. Graffiti and rude people on a Japanese train would be an astonishing rarity. Poor quality service or food at a restaurant basically never happens in Japan. I could go on for an hour, but two things I wanted to mention while they're fresh in my mind:
Birds. Australia has lots and lots of beautiful birds. Japan has, like, not so many birds. Crows and cranes and a few little things, mostly.
Actually that's about it. I was going to remark on how quickly I was dry after a shower, but that happens in Japan's winter too, so it's a moot point.
So yeah, Australia has birds. Love 'em.
