I have ripped a few bitmap fonts from arcade chd data and I through you might want to add them in.. though I have not reorganize them into a single strip for each font yet....

Interesting bit of work there, JCH02140.  The fourth and last two fonts are pretty cool.  Unfortunately I can't use JPGs without sacrificing quality and the transparency.  If you're digging around in there again, save 'em as PNGs. 

...And set 'em up horizontally?  =D

Sure I can rip them in png format and organize them in horizontal strips. :) However, I am not sure what to do with the spacing in between each individual pixel text... but I guess the space will get ignored?...

If not I can probably just place them side by side... :P...

They're equidistant, so each one is exactly the same width.  The engine makes no allowance for variable-width fonts, and will choke if your 8-pixel font isn't 8 pixels for every character.

Thanks for clearing up my question. Does the font engine actually able to detect how big each portion of text is?

Since I have font which is 12x16, 11x12, 10x16, 8x8, etc...

No, it does no detection.  You can specify the size of each font with [h]eight and [w]idth, for example: h-16/w-12.

This is how all the larger fonts work.  If no height or width is set, it defaults to 8x8 pixels.

The first one has rather odd coloring variants present in the data... The last two seems to be cut off with the border display restriction here :P...

The two large ones are completely broken and I haven't worked out why yet.  When I figure out what either you or I have done wrong, the two large fonts above will look fine and this paragraph will be irrelevant.

EDIT: yeah, you've got inconsistent spacing on these two.  Neither one is spaced consistently by the third character (based on your 11 and 12px descriptions) and the heights of both are also wrong.  Did they get mangled when you saved 'em?  They look scaled.

The first one worked brilliantly, first time, but the other two sizes are completely broken.  Consider the largest one:

Oh Ok. Nice to see the small one works :P

lol. I will try to redo the two large fonts now. I cut those out individually so I did not resize them.. Must be something I did wrong when I rearrange them in the process... >_<

EDIT: Are the large font also follow the ASCII format?... I noticed you left out some of the symbols in your descripion...

Yeah, same ASCII layout.  I didn't list all the symbols, some of them don't really work well with the script.

Still working on the fonts at the moment, but I do noticed that while you were trying to test out the large fonts it seems to break other large fonts too. I checked out the font lister and they are all messed up... >_<

Will post an update as soon as I can. :D

Ah, whups.  We had a server failure and the backup server has some files it shouldn't.  The large fonts should never have been included int the listing page, the list only works with small fonts...  I'll remove those errant files and everything will be fine again.  You can check the previous page of this thread to see that large fonts are working normally.
