I am aiming to get some nudes done by this time next year. I have one girl who I think will be interested, and another who is a maybe. Then, if all else fails, head to model mayhem, there's a bunch of them in Canberra.

I found a few more pics on the NudeArtWorld* blog.  This is the most fun I can imagine having with a camera.  I like working with girls, and I love the female form.  I think doing this kind of work would be incredibly challenging and satisfying.

Some of these pictures are no longer available, I'm sorry.  I was able to replace the first two in this thread, but many are gone.  =(

Subject: Another nude photo I wish I'd taken
Another shot I found on the nude art blog by John Tisbury:

I'm quite convinced I could do this shot better, but man, I can't get over how compelling this image is for me.  I think it's more because of the model than the photography.  In fact, I'm sure of it.

But whatever the reason, I can't stop admiring it.

It's the single light source. At that angle, it throws all the features of a woman in repose into sharp relief without making them unpleasantly jagged. The fact that you have the bilateral symmetry being screwed up by having one whole arm in shadow draws your eye to all the shadows. I suspect you could similar photo of a less fit model and get the same compelling result.

There's actually two lights, or at least a reflector camera-left.  You can tell 'cause she's lighter on that side than the shadowline running across her left boob.

Here's a few more, from a pair of recent posts on the nudeartworld blog.  The first really strikes me as a beautiful shot, with perfect light and DOF.  Sadly, there's no larger version.  The next two are quite compelling, but it's the latter of the pair that I really adore.  Click for the larger version, and enjoy.

The NudeArtBlog is really doing neat things lately.

Check out this list of nude clichés.  The first image has it all: Schoolgirl with guitar on a bed with rose petals, in front of a bedsheet hung on the wall, draped with DANGER tape, electrical tape on her nipples, high heels and librarian glasses.  Sooo awesome.  It'd only be better if she was on a motorbike.

Then there's this post featuring jumping nudes.  I never realized how much these kinds of shots appeal to me.  There are so many fantastically beautiful shots there that I can't choose just a few to show you.

Oh, yes I can:

Most of them share a similar theme: a focus on the body by eliminating most of the background, with cross-lighting to make the subject fairly pop out in 3D.  The kind of girl that can do these things is typically athletic, and I realy dig fit birds, ya know?

Very compelling.  I need to talk to some cheerleaders, ASAP.
